Pembroke, Kentucky

==History==
The town was settled in 1836 and named for Pembroke Somerset, Esq., a character in Jane Porter's 1803 novel ''Thaddeus of Warsaw'', by Dr. Lunsford Lindsay, a local store owner.〔Rennick, Robert.
